Allowance might not just be the issue. Your kids might end up dating behind your back even if they are not allowed to. Instead you should focus on teaching your kids what dating is, how responsible they should be, the consequences and that the ultimate goal should be marriage. When dating is seen as immature as the enterntainment industry pictures it, people end up getting hurt and with consequences they might regret for the rest of their lives. I am 25, but I was in my relationship first relationship was I was in 5th grade, so I was 11 or 12. I think that is a good age to be in your first relationship.
