Can a person who is mentally unstable work with children straight after a breakdown and they have been admitted to a psychiatric hospital?

first of all yes she can work with her kids.it cause due to depression.i believe if you stay with your children & if they keep you in a peaceful environment, it will more better for you than to be admitted to a psychiatric hospital. thanks that's all.
