Can you serve court papers on someone's doorstep? Someone I know shoved court papers in someone's doorway. Is this a proper or legal way to serve papers. Or do they have to be handed to the person? I believe that court papers must be personally delivered. They even created TV reality show depicting the adventurers of those who are paid to serve papers.
