How do I approach the man that may be my biological father? My mother died a year ago and she told me who my father was and gave me details on how I was conceived and that there was no doubt it was him, he is old now and I don't know what to do. It all depends on why you want to contact him. The end will eventually justify the outcome if you know ahead of time what you expect or want it to be. Be prepared for a variety of scenarios. He may deny that he is your father then what. He may admit that yes you are his daughter then what do you expect to happen. If you just want closure and reassurance that he is your father then what. I believe that if you could call him on the phone that would probably the least awkward way to make an initial contact then judge from the conversation what if anything you want to do afterwards. Call with the very least of expectations then allow yourself to move on with your life. Don't allow one individual or moment in life dictate your future happiness.
