It should never be about the leader and their perceived power. An organization is stronger and more effective if the authority is distributed. A good leader practices shared governance where many members of the organizations can make decisions and affect change. An all powerful leader is not really a leader but someone who is engulfed in the acquisition of strength by minimizing the voices of others. Authority is assumed in the position. Power never has to be stated but assumed until it is abused.
