To an extent, depending on the details, I suppose it's somewhat important. Of course keeping in mind the potential consequences and how the "moment" may impact others in our life. But that may just be my 52 year old middle age wisdom speaking.

I can't tell you about middle age, but I can say that the moment is all that we have. The past is... history and the future is, well, not a given. Make your plans, but realize that this moment is all we really have. I like the saying "live your life like every moment is your last one."
