one thing i would do.is to ask the ceo why he or she thinks that you are not qualified for that certain position.and what you can do to better you chance to receive that certain permotion. what ever the ceo"s answer is take it and stride and think of the positive. when it comes to ceo's its not always easy to accept constructive critism.dont give antbod the pleasure to see you sweat or becme upset. that will only work agains you, so good luck!! I hope that being a black woman has nothing to do with the delay of you possibly getting this position. But just because you work at a place for a period of time does not always guarantee that you will be promoted no matter what color of your skin. You should never feel that you should be given a job but that your experience and knowledge best fit the criteria that the employer wants. There are other factors such as work habits and personality that become an added factor that will be counted if you've worked at the place you are seeking a promotion. If you feel deserving of the position and are not offered it then I would ask your supervisors what you can do to improve your chances to be better ready for any other opportunities. Stay positive but if you don't see a future with this job than start looking elsewhere. At times chances for new positions are improved if you are coming in from the outside.
