If you have relatives starting conflict with you what would you do? My aunt and uncle have talked a lot of bad stuff about me and my husband. They even bring their friends over and start problems. I have tried to ignore them and I have tried talking with them to resolve the issue it isn't working, please help me. My aunt and uncle have talked a lot of bad stuff about me and my husband. They even bring their friends over and start problems. I have tried to ignore them and I have tried talking with them to resolve the issue it isn't working, please help me.

Turn and walk away. You are 27. You do not have to accept conflict from anyone. The great thing about family is that even if you turn and walk away, they are still family after. Brandy you say that both of your uncles are "starting a conflict with both you and your husband..." by saying bad stuff about you too. Tell me something, what bad stuff are they saying? Do they live with both you and your husband... and for how long? Maybe it's time that you tell them to get their own place, if they really are being a bother. That one side. However, could it be possible that they are only criticizing for an action that probably they thing that you too are doing wrong. It could be that they only want to give you too and advice. Believe me that is stressful. What I will do is ask them have we meaning you and your husband done something to upset them. Then I will consult with a therapist to help us all. If it doesn't work then ask them to leave you two alone that they have no right to get in your personal lifestyle. Email me so you can tell me the solution you took. You and your husband have control of who you let into your house unless you're living with your aunt and uncle. You only have yourself to blame for how you're being treated if you don't tell them that they are not welcomed unless they change their behavior in your home. It's not easy to correct the behavior of others but in your home you're in control and don't forget that. Be polite and firm and if they don't get the message politely ask them to leave. tell them your not a child and they have to give respect in order to get it...if they dont get it then just cut them off alittle or keep your distance from them if they dont see you as much they cant talk or be in your business.
