It is all in the definition of evil act and good consequences and who is providing the definition. Wars have been started and people have been killed based on the perceived good consequences. If it's evil then it is probably not very nice. So what nice things do we expect to accomplish by not being very nice. Can someone do something to you that is evil in order to achieve a better good? Good question.
