trust me I know the feeling. The sad thing is that there are people out there that prey on someone who will give of themselves because that is who you are. I am the same way. You just have to keep telling yourself that you did the right thing and even though you got the short end of the stick. Somewhere down the line good things will happen to you and for you. Sometimes I call it pennance. Just remember you are the one that did the right thing.

“Time and unforeseen occurrence” befall us all, states God’s Word. (Ecclesiastes 9:11) All of a sudden, a crime, an accident, or a disease can bring great distress—and disappointment. The Bible also says: “Expectation postponed is making the heart sick.” (Proverbs 13:12) Eager anticipation of something good fills us with joy, but if it is not soon realized, we may feel a depressing sense of letdown.

We are not failures simply because our efforts disappoint us at first
It can also be painful when someone lets you down, as when a courtship ends, a marriage fails, a child rebels, a companion is disloyal, or a friend is ungrateful. Since we live among imperfect people and in difficult times, the possibilities for disappointment are endless.

Our own failures can likewise cause disappointment. For instance, if we fail to pass an exam, get a job, or win someone’s heart, we may feel worthless. We can also feel disappointed with ourselves when someone we love falters.

Coach is right, good people are selfless and not selfish, but sometimes we make decisions for the pleasure of bring nice. And sometimes we expect something in return without expecting, because of our kind nature. Most of the time we make decisions with our minds and not heart. Because the mind was conditioned to be sweet, nice, friendly, helpful and kindhearted with thoughts and not with our hearts. And that is where nice people decision making becomes a mistake and they end up with the short end of the stick.

Probably because they do it with the wrong motives.
Happiness is real, it is not a state of mind because you can still be happy in the worst of the situations. Your attitude can determine your happiness; complaining too much will kill it. You reap what you sow. If you find yourself doing the wrong things you will never find happiness. You need to find your purpose in life and you must fulfilled it. We have God given gifts and talents, do you know yours? are you using them? Also focusing on others rather than in yourself will bring you great rewards. Find somebody you can help just for the sake of helping and you will reap good fruits of happiness. Do unto others as you want them to do to you. Accept yourself exactly as you are while trying to change or get rid of the those things that harm yourself and others. Find the things you like and do them but never, never, never live up to what others will think about you. Do not try to impress or compare yourself with others, see yourself as God sees you; as a precious life with a purpose. And remember that happiness is what you decide to do with your life.
