It's a very cliche question, one really has nothing to do with the other. Just like money and happiness, what does one have to do with the other?! I know so many happy rich peaple and so many financially less secure people that are just as happy. One has really nothing to do with the other, just like choosing between career and love. Love means, caring, sharing, compromising,accepting, understanding, wanting the best for eachother, forgiving...but definitly not about choosing between profession and love. It's a cliche, nothing more. If anyone beleives otherwise, have no idea about love nor being a driven professional. when your in love both partners should give the space to each other to fullfill their goals, and have their own life outside of their relationship. There is a lot more time in a day that people often waste. There is no reason why your can't achieve your goals and also be with someone you want to be with. Your partner should be your partner and committed to letting you succeed in what you want. If he or she doesn't, then the relationship is not honest. I feel that when sharing your life with someone you both should be able to respect each others ideas and goals with this being said I think your partner should be able to let you achieve your goals or vice versa in order for your personal career to be successful. Your partner should be your partner and committed to letting you succeed in what you want. If he or she doesn't, then the relationship is not honest.
