You should always be looking for a new job.

I do not mean that you should always in a full-on search. But, each of us must always have a sense of what opportunities are out there and what we are worth on the market.

My rule is that everyone should go on at least one outside interview a year. Even if they are deliriously happy in their job. Interviewing is a skill and you want to keep practicing that skill.

If you believe that your employer is unhappy with you, and you cannot reverse their dissatisfaction, then you need to be actively looking.

If your employer is fine with you, but you are feeling bored or frustrated at work, try to make an internal change in addition to beginning an outside search.

You own your career.

Follow your intuition. And good luck.

The question would be can you have two jobs and still be happy with your first one? The answer is yes, you can be happy with your first job, because its what you worked for. Now, if you feel that you need to incorporate another job to your first one then why not do it? Everyone does it. God made us who we are and in what we can succeed. I am great full for the job that I have and give thanks for it everyday and everyone should learn how to love their career.
