Maybe hes just not that into you, which is the saddest thing to to hear after 3 years but the most freeing if you can accept it. A man is stupid, most times, but not that stupid. If he see's a woman he wants to make his wife hes gonna put a ring on that finger and fast because men are territorial. Or he can have a crazy commitment problem, which is still another battle. Talk with him tell his the truth, get answers! if he cant give you anything concrete, say goodbye.

It sounds like someone is in denial about the truth. Please take advantage of the good opportunities while it last. Why subject yourself to love if you are not married.

In a relationship many times people are not on the same page at the same point and time. If you've been with him for three years one would assume that you would be able to share your feelings and expectations for the future. If you are assuming that just because you say you love him that he is able to interpret what you expect from the relationship you might be mistaken. Openness and honestly is the key to a successful relationship and you need to address the issue of the future with your boyfriend. If you and he are not on the same page then you're left with having to make some choices which may not include him. If you really love him and you want him to commit to the future then you need to open the conversation and ask him how he sees the future for the two of you. You have to decide what is best for you and how he fits in. If you're looking for more in the relationship than he is you may want to begin to explore other options which are more consistent with your expectations for the future.
