My partner is on the tenancy agreement, I'm not. The estate agent says I have to leave the property next week.
My partner and I moved into a house a few weeks ago. We had a letter arrive in the post saying that I have to vacate the property unless I get a credit check. My Partners name is already on the contract. If I don't complete the credit check, which they costs £200.00. I have to leave by 26 May. Do I have to leave, what rights do I have, and what can they do. In Finances Asked by Robert ... Age : 47 1 Answer

You will have to refer to the tenancy agreement and review the stipulations related to others occupying the premises. If it is not stipulated in the agreement then ask in writing the reasons as they correspond to the agreement for there asking you to leave. Check your agreement carefully then ask to meet with the agent. A personal touch is less confrontational then the specifics of a post. Try to be convincing but also allow to to be educated to the reasons. You might be able to strike a happy medium. Answered by GoodscoutAge : 31 1 month ago Report Abuse Edit Delete Add comments |
