I think this comes with age, but my advice is to really just be yourself. That way if there is a connection it is an honest one and one that has more of a chance lasting. Of course it helps if you feel comfortable with yourself.

It is not about attracting someone to you but your feeling comfortable around a variety of people. It's about being yourself and allowing yourself to take risks. When you see someone to which you are attracted don't wait for them to come to you. It is all about feeling comfortable with yourself and how you project that feeling. Remember that just because you talk to someone it's about talking and you're not making a life and death decision, so keep it in prospective and relax and enjoy the company for what it is. Talk to everyone don't allow someone's looks turn you off. take the first step and each step after that will be easier than the first. Don't become upset if someone doesn't want to talk it's all a part of life and eventually you'll find the people that want to be with you and you with them. You will only reap the rewards of life if you're willing to take a chance and accept the setbacks that come with it.
